The stonemason chipped off the cement render, took out damaged stones, and found replacements among the stones I used for the garden edges, unfortunately. However, it was a good cause and the job he did was incredible. He even replaced red bricks where they had worn too much to keep. The house now looks as it was when it was built. So pretty! He needs to repair the red bricks on the roofline but he will do that soon, he says.

Beaumont House is a South Australian National Trust home built in 1839. I used to walk past the place often and think to myself that someone ought to do something about the garden.
